DISAPPEARING DAYS

House cluttered, old memories with
walls echoing of pasts hidden.
Beauty surrounds, showing pictures
of times past by with smiling faces.
The buildings, now changed, shadows of
history fading, protected
by scenes of lakes and of valleys.
Clocks hanging on drab wallpaper,
ticking time with different beats.
Rugs are dirty and floors dusty;
with old people, living alone,
drifting, in harmony with life.
