.....This picture was taken from the Captain Cook Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska by my daughter last week. It was one of the coldest weeks on record: -10 degrees for a daily high. She could take only three or four pictures before the camera battery would stop working. What some people would do for a shot! Go girl go! -------- Victor

Captain Cook Hotel sure has a grand view, boy veranda is sure deep in snow... pretty how pure white and frozen the trees are.splendid photo Victor!

People are like cameras--sometimes they lose focus.
Alaska...while very beautiful in terms of spectacular scenery, it is cold, bitter and unforgiving. Only the strong survive. I visited 3 times...always in awe of the people who reside there.
