John, this is really a 'flower power type boat'. Not only because of the flowers on deck but also because of the colours of the used paints. Remarkable to me is, that's it has Dutch flag on its bow, not a common use by 'flower power - like' people. Beautiful image! Regards, Cornelius
Hi John...a real splash of colour on this one. I love the angle, and that striking yellow anchor on the front. So much to look at...I would love to spend time on the river in this...a great shot, thanks for sharing..Jacquie
This looks like the boat that the people who take care of the flower barges must use. I can't imagine that the caretakers actually swim out to check on their charges. And by the way, that reminds me: Do people ever swim in the canals? :)
"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web." Pablo Picasso
How distinctly beautiful this 'Power Boat'....what a wonderful subject to have captured...something we don't commonly see...The boat is lavished with colorful flowers, and of course the boat itself, is vivid with color......reminds me of something I would see in a children's book, so enticing, so inviting.....The water adds it's interest to the scene as well, and the lovely green trees serves as a pleasant background....very nice John, my friend.....You do well with your photography....as I like to say often....you may go to the front of the class...and teacher may give you the 'proverbial apple'.....In America John, it use to be a tradition in younger schools....for the student to give the teacher an apple..symbolizing the child's like for his teacher.... just a little trivia....the reverse for you...as I was only emphasizing the teacher's pleasure with the work you had done with your presentation here....a little friendly joke John.....very nicely done my friend......;o)
Sincerely, Marilyn
P.S. Please give my regards to Marcia for me, OK? ;o)
