This Canal, ("Hoge der A") the whole scenery
with old V.O.C storehouses, and old vessels in the canal is a tourist attraction in downtown
Groningen. And even to me it works like a magnet!. I love this place,It give you the feeling that you are travel into an other dimension , where time stood still... 'back to the past'!

Geweldige foto John.. perfect in compositie en kleur. Je zou de volgende keer zelfs nog de donkere delen iets meer kunnen oplichten in Adobe, alhoewel het in deze foto erg mooi contrast biedt. Kom ik weer door te zeggen.. een van je mooiste composities. Ik ben er weg van : )! Mich

What a beauty John. The light, shadows and reflections make this one truly stunning. The scene by itself with the building, water and boats is great, but when you throw in the other I mentioned above -- it becomes a WOWZER.

... I think I've been here, although it looks like you had much nicer weather than I did. Beautiful shot. The reflections in the water are beautiful and it makes me wonder what that place would look like in full summer and in summer sunlight.

Beautifully composed, I love the lighting. Agree with Cornelius other than the modern bikes/cars reminds me of a painting. Might be worth removing them. Totally captivating with the tones, so much to see. Saved.

What I absolutely love about this is the architecture of the buildings- wonderful shapes. Great lighting and fantastic reflections in the canal waters.
