Another shot through the glass at the Milwaukee County Zoo. This one was with my 35mm Minolta 7000a SLR instead of my digital. I liked the colors and the control of the DOF more. Honest comments and critiques always welcome!
Sounds like DeNiro but looks like Ann Margaret. Great photo GBR. Did you have film processed as digital or did you scan the photo? I was just curious. I notice you have solved the glass problem since you started on this site. Congratulations.
Have a good weekend.
First thing I did was add to my favs. This is an absolutely stunning photo, the composition perfectly accentuates this beautiful cat, colors and clarity are terrific. To be a perfect picture to me I would want to see a little more detail in the eyes, but this is very close to perfection in my view. And a very catchy title, drew my interest, when the photo appeared it was a pleasant surprise it brought a chuckle.
Rich,
Great clear pic. That glass must have been pretty clean, cause you can't even tell. The subject is impressive of course, and you captured him perfectly.

Color and pose are both great.. white balance seems just right.
Focus... seems to be more than just a little off.
Just out of curiosity, do you ever focus manually? I find in certain circumstances (low lighting, funky focal depths, etc) not letting your hardware do all the work has it's rewards..
Please, even if you don't visit my gallery, check out my "Faves".I've left them intact since day "1", and would like it if every image there got the attention they deserved.
This is a gorgeous close up capture of this beautiful tiger. I still have my poppa's old 35mm and was playinga round with it this morning. He has 4 different and big lens, I'm clueless about that stuff.
