This is really good GBRx3. I love the gold against the black. I believe it would look better if the bottom portion was totally black as well. Great work.

I can see why it became an obsession. I went back to look at the others mentioned. What an interesting design. I especially enjoy this one with the light coming in from behind. Thank you for sharing it.

Such a fascinating structure ... the gold is stunning against the dark background. I'm enjoying the lines & symmetry. I'm detecting there may have been a bit of noise in the original which is common with night captures ... but I would say you cleaned it up nicely. A superb capture Rich ... looks like you're having fun with the new camera. Thanks for the camera info too.

It looks like a gigantic bird of prey about to take flight. An impressive image surrounded by black... Honest comment: Same as Twinks, I see some noise which needs taking care of..

It's pretty good for a first time Rich !! I love your subject, it really does look like a bird about to take flight ! Actually, noise aside, the biggest problem I see with this might possibly just simply be because your new at night photography.

I DL this to try & play with it some & I was able to bring our the details in your "bird", but to do that I had to lighten the pic which also lightened the background which destroyed the point of the night photography, since it then became the graphite photography, which made no sense at all. *wry grin*

Maybe coming at it from a different angle might help, in order to get more light shining through your bird's wings, so to speak, in order to showcase their design better. That way you might be able to get something more in the sky too, because the edges of the wings seem to fade too much into the sky & to me at least ... a bit more definition is needed.

Like I said, the only mistake I can really see is a simple staging one, to be honest. You need to learn to really "see" your image, see it in the dark... do you know what I mean ? I'm phrasing it badly but I think you get my drift.

This is a great image though, I've got it on my screens right now as a matter of fact ! I love the swooping lines & the feeling of freedom from this image, like the world is spread out before you & all you have to do is take that one step into tomorrow & freedom.

It's wonderful Rich & with a minor adjustment here or there it'll be fabulous !!!
