Pretty, pretty please honest comment and critique! I'm really unsure of this one. I thought it turned out more like a sketch or a painting than a photograph. I tried it in sepia, in B&W, turned the contrast and lighting up and down, adjusted the backlighting, played with colorizing it a bit....and finally chose something that was pretty close to how it came out of the camera. Does it work?

I think it does work. Might put the train up or down in the frame a bit, but i think it works. it is a little simple but to me that is good. Hope this helps. Nice job.

God has created fantastic beauty for us to photograph and fantastic photographers to bring out that beauty in unique ways.

The camera knows best? I find that often happens. Like the trees and the bridge, good detail and clarity. The sky looks a little bland but you wouldn't be able to really do anything about that and I don't feel its too light as darkening it would contrast too much with the snow on the trees. If I have a comment it si that I would like to see some motion blur on the train to give the impression of action. As it stands it looks a little static because it is side on. I realise most people just go for the fine detail but in this case I feel some motion blur would work better.

I like the colors the way they are. To me, it looks black and white with a little colorizing in the tree on the left. The only thing missing from this picture, is some really bright graffiti on the box cars. LOL.

The shot would have been perfect if not for the darned electric poles.

I really have no complaints. It is nice to see something different and you stretching your legs. I like the angle and I can hear the clickety clack as the train rumbles across the bridge. The telephone pole doesn't bother me. It makes me thing of the old telegraph days. The photo is timeless.

Good work GBRx3.

This is a tough one for me. The color saturation is perfect. The snow is beautiful. All the detail on the bridge is amazing (I hope you will take more shots of this one). I think it needs a different composition though. Capturing both ends of the bridge span would make it more complete. Capturing the engine as it enters the bridge would give a greater sense of motion. Still, it is a great shot. I am afraid I am just going to have to put it in my Faves :o)

it looks B&W but I perceive some color, although my eyes aren't quite sure of themselves... I like that effect: "eye deception"... love the trees with the snow on them. Only thing is, I agree with Chris, I might like to see a tad of blur on the train to keep it moving... but otherwise, a fine image.

Yeah, the camera works and sometimes they are the best right out of the camera unless you shoot in RAW, of course. I like this just as it is.
