I am still struggling to find time in my busy schedule to use my new camera. However I have always wanted to get a shot of this tree. I did have to shoot it from the moving vehicle so it is a touch blurry toward the bottom. Other than that, I like the way it turned out so I figured I would share it with all of my friends here. Hope you enjoy and as always, I am always open to suggestions. Thanks.

Nice shot! I like this one alot. It seems to speak to me of the battles of life and the persistence to do what is right no matter how tough. Not sure why but it does.....

I like it very much. The lone tree against that muted sky. Alone yet thriving.

Well this is a special image ! the color adds to the effect, and i like the lonely feel of the image. The blur is not bothering at all, great image so thanks for your posting.

aahh i love this a lot! both the color and subject are excellent and the blur doesn't detract from the photo at all.

Looks like we are both struggling for time Ryan, I haven't been here in a while either. Glad to hear you're getting on ok with the K20D - this is a great post, full of atmosphere and texture. I like the scoured metal background and the fine detail in the tree - the branches are almost circular and very dynamic. The dof adds too, including the blurred ground gives a sense of distance.

solitary..

the love that once..now there stands..
time gestures past,moments recluse hands..
fades ,wipe from us ,heartened bare lands..
alone amidst the loss...but still it stands..
