Rob...I never was a big city sort of a guy. Grew up in a city of about 100K, moved to LA, a city of a gazillion and now live well outside of a "city" of 15K. I can see where living in Rotterdam would have many advantages for a photographer. Sometimes you post shots of these beautiful waterways, sometimes we get the dark underbelly of the beast and occasionally we get your romanticized shots with the windmills and such. Either you're walking the back alleys or along a vibrant industrial harbor or strolling through a city that most be crammed with these parklike settings.

Excellent composition. This shot is practically 3D as we admire the fountain and can see quite a distance down the canal. You are a craftsman.

The canal and the ability to walk freely on both sides must be quite the tourist attraction Rob. What you view as just another day makes us want to hop a plane and visit.

And very well composed too. Love that fountain and never expected it in such a place.

Ook een stad (of dorp?) waar ik wel eens geweest ben.. een mooie compositie met inderdaad verassend een fontijn. De boom doet het goed als extra diepe en framing. Goede foto! Mich

A nice angle and perspective in your photo, Rob. I like the soft look in the focus and lighting. Very nicely presented scene and a lovely view.
