I can tell you are a good editor Rob. What is the source of the black reflection? The swans won't tidy up after themselves so someone has to do it.
You have done a good job with all the shots that followed.

I think the rework is better as the swans had more natural colours and not so bright.Plus the water had more blue which made the swans stand out more. The swans in this shot are to me too bright, but that just me.Still not a bad photo my friend.

I like them all, but I like this one best. Could pull down the highlights just a tad.

Once again I think that Michael has hit the nail on the head with his eloquent critique. :-)

I'm not sure I would call "Swan Lake" heavily edited" based on this original, Rob. Edited? Yes. Heavily edited? Nope. Now if this shot showed that the swans were really dust bins or Volkswagens, I'd say that Swan lake was heavily edited.

This is a very good starter shot. Your editing added some much needed deeper coloring which made the swans stand out in the first posting. By comparison, this almost looks washed out. This is still a wonderful posting on its own. But you're right. The original Swan lake was better. And at least these birds still haven't lost their heads.

They both are good, but this one is better in my opinion, more natural which I like.

Rob - While both images are good, I like the more natural colors of this one. Thad

Rob I think that this is just as good as the edited version. Well captured my friend. I love the reflections.

I like the deeper colours in the water of the first one. A good base image to work from, Rob. Nicely composed and a lovely watery surface in the scene.
