Wind turbines love them or hate them there popping up all over, myself I love them, especially when the sunlight reflects off them. This dark dramatic photo show them of very nicely. They look like sentinels guarding the landscape, great looking photo with stunning detail and composition plus depth of field.
There's loads of these across the States. I believe the largest single concentration of them in the world is in South-Eastern California. What I don't understand is why they're never in operation when I happen by :-). Beautiful shot, Rob. I've always liked them. They're certainly an aesthetic improvement over the smoky chimneys of coal fired generating plants.
A beautiful, moody shot, Rob. This could almost be called "Dismal 3" if you replaced the moon with the sun. I don't understand why Rotterdam is so dark and gritty looking when you use wind generated power. Can't they get rid of some of those coal fired plants? Maybe if you didn't run a houseful of toasters 24 hours a day, they could cut back on the electric power in the city.
I am curious, though.. was the moon added in here (no worries on the moon not being yours, that is not my point.. read on)?
Which segues to the lone caveat.. and I might end up being a monkey's uncle if there was no photo-manipulation performed by stating the following ...
Lil'.. lil', mind you ... bright in and around the moon.
Suggestion.
Dial back the Opacity of that layer some.. and perform an overall Curves adjustment.
This is one of your images that, as they say, caught my eye.
I like the subject matter and I like your composition (very strong element, in and of itself) and the creative choice of going with B & W for a final presentation to us.
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
