I agree the look in his eye makes me wonder what was going on that time, perhaps he was afraid of the camera. tigs=^..^=

Looks rather angry to me, but you did a fine job on the coloring. Another fine work.

Rob, I don't know whether the staring look in his eyes is a sad, angry, or wondering one. Makes it difficult to select an apt color according his mood. Think however that you've succeeded in doing this perfectly because of choosing a moderate and not overdone color.
Good choice and another good work from you, my friend.

Beautifully colored Rob.
Zosh had very light eyelashes which draws attention to the eyes.

I know Apache men wore necklaces and blankets but I am not at all convinced that this is a man. To me it looks like a young Apache girl, shy, and not too pleased with the photographers instructions on how to sit for the portrait. As it turned out, the look of sadness/ discomfort is what makes the photo so arresting.

I believe a young man would have had a more defiant look and maybe would have had the hair plaited or tied back . . . . but what do I know :) I still think its a girl :)

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I believe Zosh is an Apache female. Her posture so strongly reminds me of the End of the Trail that it breaks my heart.

Beautiful subtle and subdued coloration, Rob. Moreover, a powerful image choice!
