Rob, because the original B&W photograph was published in 1940, think that the depicted young ladies were born about 1922, the year that my late father was born as well. I'm born in 1945 however, but to me it's to a certain extent a revival of my youth, as it still reflects the zeitgeist of this era, but, thanks to your, in a perfectly way done, colorization in color this time.
Great job again, my friend!

All ready for the dance, dressed in their finery. You chose so well the colours for the dresses, appropriate to the style and time.
Another magnificent work Rob

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

To think, a year later many of the young men in the photo would be off to war and dances like this would be put on hold for four years. Colorization is excellent!
