Sometimes we forget how good we've had it in our lifetimes Frank.
This brings us back to stark reality.
Another unique find and colorization.

Realistic and dramatic coloring, very well done. I regret that human progress has so many extremes, it is sometimes overwhelming.

Rob, when I watched the original B&W photograph and have read the narrative of your perfectly colorized version too, I've read this: "A wilderness of rags," is the description travelers give of devastated Serbia and the garb of these small Serbians tells why. Thousands of men, women and children in this unhappy land and others that were laid waste by the Hun must wear clothing like this until civilized garments reach them from the nationwide collection of used clothing, shoes and blankets conducted by the A.R.C. for the refugees in Allied Countries."
I suppose that it's not necessary to provide you with further comment as both the photograph and the accompanying story tell more than a book of thousand pages. Your colorization in such a realistic way gives this original photograph even more impact. Either way, a shocking and harrowing situation.
