For some reason it makes me think she is an orphan and wants to be adopted Rob. You can almost feel the longing in her eyes.
The purple coloring gives this hope. I hope she led a long and happy life.
It also reflects the current loneliness being created by the Covid Virus.
Wonderful find and work once more.

Rob, this photograph allows someone to compose their own story. In any case, it will not be an exciting story. The original B&W photograph leaves nothing to the imagination, but the perfectly colorized one shows the raw reality to the fullest. Not fairytale or idyllic colors, but colors that enhance her sadness.

I agree with Cornelius that the "colorized one shows the raw reality to the fullest". The colors that you choose, the subtle changes result in a more realistic image, lots of emotion here, impressive work.
