Evidently she if of Puerto Rico descent Rob. At first I thought she might be a Native American until I followed your link.
I agree with Tigz that she has some spunk.
You better hope she likes the color of the dress. 😊

Rob, by checking-out this link, I've read that the FSA (Farm Security Administration) was created in 1937 to combat rural poverty during the Great Depression in the United States: the FSA stressed 'rural rehabilitation efforts to improve the lifestyle of very poor landowning farmers, and a program to purchase submarginal land owned by poor farmers and resettle them in group farms on land more suitable for efficient farming.
I've read as well that the photographs in the Farm Security Administration/Office of War Information Photograph Collection form an extensive pictorial record of American life between 1935 and 1944.
This one is a well selected one of these about 175,000 B&W film negatives.
By your always perfect colorization you've given this selected photograph an extra dimension. Another time document for sure!
