I wonder if this was the photographer's intended pose or he just liked how her "exasperated" pose turned out.
I think everyone has or had an aunt that was just like this.
Great colorization Rob. Something tells me the photographer got an earful.

Rob, I've checked out your link to compare the original B&W-photograph with the by you (always) percfectly colorized one, and saw below the page a collage of portraits called 'More Photos, Prints, Drawings like this'.
If this collage was made by the same photographer, then I can only conclude that this photographer not only had an eye for glamour, but also brought all aspects of life in this era to the fore.
If he could have looked at the by you edited photograph, he probably would have been excited by your result.
Excellent job again, my friend, so S+F'ved, 👍 !

The colors suit this scene perfectly, and we are always left wondering, what are her thoughts .....

That is a remarkable work of colorizing, Rob. The shades of blue are remarkable. Looks really natural for the time if they could have captured prints in color.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

The photography has captured the look of "waiting and patience" in this photo and her coloring has brought it all forth.
