Rob, Owd Fella Tick (OFT) has in his comment with only a few words perfectly expressed what the image exudes. I can't exclude that these men are unemployed now, not a rarity in the era when the original photograph was taken.
This time not a selective colorization, but an overall one. Enhances the spirit of this time. Perfectly done again!

Yup, great coloring ... the scene comes alive with your efforts, and it is interesting, these photographers have taken photos that are quite different, and worth viewing.
