Colorization suits this scene perfectly ... this particular scene does make one ponder what her life was like ... no shoes .....

This makes me think of Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton who grew up dirt poor in the mountains, but went on to become superstars and mega rich.
Excellent colorization Rob as always.

Makes a person wonder, she had a coat, but no shoes. Carried her lunch. Must have been hard for her. I liked the work you've done on this.

Rob, referring to Owd Fella's Tick (OFT) comment:
Loretta Lynn was born in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky.
She tells in THIS SONG perfectly the situation of poor people:
"Well, I was born a coal miner's daughter
In a cabin, on a hill in Butcher Holler
We were poor but we had love,
That's the one thing that daddy made sure of
He'd shoveled coal to make a poor man's dollar
...."

Dolly Rebecca Parton was born in Sevierville, Tennessee.
To me THIS SONG is a striking example about the poverty that she and many other kids had to deal with in their childhood days:
"Back through the years
I go wonderin' once again
Back to the seasons of my youth
I recall a box of rags that someone gave us
And how my momma put the rags to use
There were rags of many colors
Every piece was small
And I didn't have a coat
And it was way down in the fall
Momma sewed the rags together
Sewin' every piece with love
She made my coat of many colors
That I was so proud of......"

I think that the above is a representative addition to the by you perfectly colorized image.
Very well done again, 👍 !
