Lol. Great image. These tools are pretty powerful. I like the ruggedness of the mountain, but i feel it is missing dark patches of rock. The sky is realistic, which can be a hard thing to achieve. Ive been fiddling with terragen, but have found it difficult to make anything look mountainous. Got any pointers.
Another excellent image.
Sam.

This was done with Vue 5 Esprit, but I like Terragen too. I'm very interested in the coming release of Terragen 2, which should be stunning. I find that an awesome sky and how the sun angle creates shadows can make or break a landscape image. I spend many hours just trying out different sky's, lighting changes, sun angles, etc before committing to the final render. I'm still pretty new at this and definitely don't use the software to it's full capabilities. Thanks for the comments and good luck.

Hi Russ ,most of the above techy stuff went over my head as I am a beginner at this but I can appreciate all the hard work that must have gone in to produce this splendid result.Congrats for your endeavours.

I'm just not big on artificial landscapes, they are just that. I dabbled in it a few years back and it was fun but that was about it. I realize the effort involved and would like to give you a rave review but it is just....... gray. The shading is great but it is still just......gray.
