I get the feeling of frigid water temps with the snow covered mountain. The butterflies are an interesting addition to your scene, Russ. Nice work.

Thank you very much, everyone. I'm very happy you liked it. Considering how simple and static it is, it still took me a long time to finish. It's an idealized vision of the alpine lakes and mountains that I remember from travels in the Sierra Nevada mountains in California. The state is a little bit drier now.

Computer generated? I would have never guessed. Those butterflies must be frozen!

An amazing creation - a perfect scene. I though it was a photo before I read your description. Wonderful work

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

Thank you both very much. Glad you liked it.

I wasn't aiming for the generic postcard look, but that's pretty much what I got.
