This is a picture of the endangered species called the Sparrow. Taken on our Patio in the Summer of this year. All left the nest and assumed to be doing well.

Endangered species -- LOL! I love House Sparrows, but they are one of only about 3 species not protected by Federal or State law. (The others are Pigeons and Starlings.)

Cute picture. What did the parents build the nest IN? It looks like something of glass. That certainly adds to the beauty and the interest.

The nest is built in a crockery type enclosure about the size of a basketball, hand painted and glazed. It was a Gift. The picture was cropped to eliminate parts of the fence to which it is attached. Thanks for your comments. Take Care,

This is a terrific view of the bird and its family in a most interesting nest enclosure. It does look a bit pixilated at higher resolutions.

Bob, it is a great shot. I like the effect of the nest. Great view of the whole family of sparrow's. I did not know they were a endangered species.
