I always like to see repairmen. Not enough stuff gets repaired anymore...it's usually "oh, broken." and then off to the landfill it goes. No wonder we have a problem over here with our overcrowded dumps...I like this a lot, my friend :)
"The artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place; from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider’s web." Pablo Picasso
He looks like he is enjoying his work. There must be a need for lots of umbrellas there if it rains as much as I have seen in your pictures. I really like this shot that tells me a story, Sayed. Keep them coming.
You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being.

wow, an umbrella repair man.. i have never seen such a thing! you can get umbrellas here for a pound, we would just throw them away!! love the shot, great stuff again!
It makes me wonder how money can be made in this way Sayed. China for instance will make umbrellas 4 practically no cost at all !! Still this type of work's a lot more fun than some souless factory.
Lifes around said Phil the 35 millimetre cameraman. I recently went to the doctors, and said I've got icon fever, but he told me there was no cure for the disease.
GREAT Composition! I love this! You've approached this shot with such grace...I feel so connected to the piece. It is quite beautiful if I were to put words to it, there is a sense of life, the simplistic details we strive for everyday to get by...quite exquisite :) Thank you for posting!
Another visa on its way, for him to join the knife sharpener and sugar cane man...LOL. A lovely image and title, I'm sure he must be very busy after all those heavy rainfalls...thanks for sharing...Jacquie
