If practice makes perfect and nobody is perfect, then why practice?
Good closeup shot, you might want to try shading the entire scene or using some fill flash so there are not as many distracting hot spots and more even lighting. But I understand that the subjects are not always cooperative for a photographer's lighting needs :)

I agree with shutterbug, and I know how difficult insect photos are but the bright and shade make the viewer choose which of those two to focus on and its diffuclt to see the image as a whole that way.
