I have found that taking photos of red flowers in direct sunlight is practically impossible for a klutz like me. I have always found that the bright colors bleed together. It looks to me like you've mostly managed to avoid this - especially in the bottom portion of the bloom where you can really see the detail and texture of the petals.

Yes, the flowers always spread joy, we just have to know their language. They will tell us many things. Great shot.
