Rumali roti is thin bread from the northern part of India. The word rumali means Handkerchief in Urdu and Hindi, and the name rumali roti means Handkerchief bread. The extreme thinness of the bread and the fact that it is usually served folded like a handkerchief are the probable sources of the name. The bread is usually made with a combination of whole and white wheat flours and best cooked on top of an inverted indian styled wok as seen in the picture. A chef preparing rumali roti. I took this image from a wedding party.

Wonderful shot, Sayed! So much going on here. It must be fascinating to see these spinning in the air. I like roti, but prefer Naan. Indian food, btw, is one of my favorite cuisines. Any excuse to celebrate with eating out will find us at an Indian restaurant before all others. I really like the colors they have painted this building too. I think that may be where Dunkin' Donuts got their idea for a color scheme. lol Your shot is so clear and tells a wonderful story too.
