Great shot. The colors are wonderful and the cat looks right at home in a place he shouldn't go, but because he's a cat, no one says he can't stay there. lol

But, there is way too much focus IMO on everything but the kitty cat in this image.

I find that I really need to concentrate on what is in the background of the object or scene that I shooting.

A much tighter shot of your furry friend would allow me to see those pretty eyes.

As it stands, my eyes are drawn all over the image...the newspaper, the chair/table that are sorta in the frame on the right side, the two different types of tile? perhaps? and even the brown table Kitty is laying on all serve as distraction points.

I would encourage you to use this friendly feline as a subject to practise on and shoot the face, or even tighter, the eyes and mouth...
