Another photo by nephew Mark Pietras, on a trip to China. A few seconds after the shot, a snow squall obscured the view. This is the edited version. Please also view Version 1 and leave a comment. We are interested in seeing which is preferred, and why. Thanks.

Very well done! I prefer this shot, I think the wall and one tree in the foreground lead the eye more naturally into the image. Although I do like the framing effect of the two trees in the other shot, I think this one opens the image up better. Good job!

Don't cram everyday so full you can't enjoy the journey.

Okay, version two is the better of the two. It is the wall my eye travels down simply because of what it is, truly a marvel. BUT my eye returns over and over via the lower outreaching tree branch, travels back up the wall in the distance, right back to the branch and it starts all over. Great editing job, very patient indeed...there are still a few tiny branches visible in the brick atop the stone...still, great editing.

Enjoy what time you do not sell to someone else, you have been given a finite amount so use as much as you can for yourself and try not to waste it.

i prefer version two for the same reason. one tree is plenty the second tree in version 2 kind of blocks your line of sight. i went to the great wall and i wish i had taken a shot like this. it's very good! jen

Having just returned from Beijing and visiting a portion of the Great Wall, I am so pleased to find this shot to add to my desktop wallpaper. Thanks for sharing it!

I like this version better since you can see the wall without an obstruction. I was there in April. Loved it. Thanks for sharing!
