rochester castle kent england - in november 1215 king john laid siege to it , taking the castle in the end by undermining the south tower with the help of the fat from 40 pigs

40 pigs! Seems like a waste of bacon to me. Beautiful shot, a castle to add to my collection. Love the way the trees give the image a natural frame.

You seem to get most of your shots at a time free of tourists which I love because it puts the viewer there alone and intimate. The one guy visible atop the walls I think adds something to this one. He adds great scale and seems to be just watching out as someone would have a thousand years ago. Good framing with the trees
