This is the first pic of a series from this Village - Soajo -. This Village is located at Gerês mountains and these buildings are made to keep the corn for the entire village to eat during the year. I hope you enjoy it.

It’s an extraordinary shot César. Your composition is refreshingly different and those sheds certainly look as if they were built to stand the test of time. I wonder why they have crosses on storage sheds, I’m sure they aren’t just for decoration.

Bela perspectiva dos típicos espigueiros do Soajo, fotografia com bom recorte e ângulo bem escolhido.

I like the way you angled this photo. Neat and sharp. Congrats, César. Hope to see more coming up!

Yes, I was wondering why the crosses on the buildings myself. There may be more than corn in there (dear me). The perspective you chose to shoot from is extraordinary-very creative. Quite a dof and everything is in focus. Great capture as well as being informative.

I agree that your composition is outstanding. You show the solidity of the buildings' foundations and at the same time in a very interesting way you show the entire building. These are certainly among the most unusual storage buildings I have seen. Excellent work!

Hi there Cesar! What a unique capture this is with the concrete support columns framing some unique buildings. There is a lot of solidity in this image. I can see why these are used to store corn. They appear to have withstood the test of time. Are the crosses on the front and back of the building to keep the corn safe all year or to possible ward off evil spirits? Or to bless the food inside? An outstanding job on this photo. The color, quality, clarity and composition are excellent. Thank you for sharing this with us :~)
Thank you also for your recent visit to ~soft pink~. I stopped the car to get out and shoot this beauty while Mother Nature was obligingly enough to provide the fantastic lighting effect. I am glad that you too were able to enjoy it. Your continued support, comments and critique are deeply appreciated. Thank you :~)
