Hi All, this is 'Crownhill' just up the road from my house, I know it's a terrible subject, but this is my first go at a night time shot. so out came the tripod, 30 seconds @ f16, ISO 100, what do you think, I was pleased with it, just got to find something nice to shoot now:)

I have been so into streets and scenes like this latel as you've probably noticed...and I really like this night shot you got. I think it's wonderful that you are giving it a go too. It's difficult to get these shots. I love the stars from the lightposts. Are you using a star filter, or does your camera just do that automatically? I also like the way you've done the frame here, with the thin red line.. Very nice Mark..you know I have a file just for your photos in my files. I gave you a big smooching 10 in the VB..!I really enjoy your photos so very much..Verena

It's beautifully crisp, great palette, lovely curvy lines. The only way I can see to improve it would be if you could get the vanishing point of the road up closer to the one third down/one third in point. I take a lot of night shots because I'm a night shift taxi driver and when it gets slow I go shot hunting. I think this is a better shot and a better night time subject than you realize. If this is your starting point then you have some truly fantastic night time shots up ahead, not far ahead I'd think too. :)
