It's a little eerie to put yourself in the stead of a chess piece. Being sent in to battle by the will of an unseen force...having one ability and using that one skill...whether it means the end for you or not. Seeing your friends drop one by one in battle....never knowing if your next. Not much different than a soldiers life.

looking at this image, and thinking of my recent post, u have just helped me in knowing how to improve the realism of my renders, thanks!!!. BTW good image, this is quite a unique chess set. And the monochrome scheme makes it look like a classic photo

I like your chess images and the commentary along with them. I do think in this particular photo that the background is distracting and the shot would be better without it.

The chess figures look quite old and definitely they are beautiful ! Also your commentary is very special. I agree that the image would benefit if you do something with the 'messy' background LOL

Oooohhhhh....this is awesome!!! I love that we have a better view of the pieces and your angle really puts us in the midst of the 'battle'...excellent work my friend!

Hmmmmm..may i be so bold as to be to the point and honest? (What is the point of not telling you what I really think?) I am not impressed with this-save the hand and the angle..........what do you think of shooting this from very far away at a more steep angle (showing more of table) to increase tension and drama of story:it is the narrative which intrigues me more............the photo could play this theme up more by using above ideas and also in B/W-----a classic means of providing drama....the antiquing would not add this............ok, that's it!

Very tastefully done, the coloring of this image fits perfect with your idea. This overall shows much detail for me to see with fine clarity displayed. This is perfect in my book. Two thumbs up from me :()
