Is that elks? no idea, the front one had no desire to have his picture taken, when he was closer would try and stab with that horn in the middle of his forehead. Not a fun guy.

Great capture and a wonderful fame job. The hint of blues is very nice and brings out the clarity of the elk. Glad you stayed safe :) Anita

Agreed on the frame job..it's definitely one I've never seen before. That front guy certainly does look like he's in attack mode with not much love in his heart for you and your camera...lol...you'll have to go out with some Mace next time..just in case.

This is really nice shot Nancy...and terrific frame for this shot. I really do not know much about Elk...but I see Jerry in above comment said they are Reindeer...as you say that front one is defending his territory...gerry
