We can hear this partridge drumming all the time, unfortunately he only flies in the trees at dusk, so hard to get a colourful picture of it. Any comments welcome.

.....maybe a little dark but you got him in focus Scorpie and I quite like the effects of the silhouette of the bird and the branches! :)

I was thinking as I looked at your find foto that it looks a bit like the partridges you see in illustrations around Christmastime. In fact, with a little gilding you might be able to turn this into a holiday card. I'm beginning to see the logic behind "..and a partridge in a pear tree." :)
