i know its blurry i tried to fix it on photoshop, but this poor goose was calling for its flock that left two days earlier, it kept flying around the lake and i tried to get a good shot, this was the best one
This reminds me of the little boy who couldn't get into the mountain when the Pied Piper took the other children into the cave. He looks very lost.
Unfortunately if you don't know the story behind this photo, it tends to get lost on the monitor. I realize that trying to crop it in so you could be more of the bird would ruin the effect you were going for, and I respect that.
"I never looked for it, gave it no name; yet I knew it always, when the gift of peace came. I stood quite still for the moment that it lasted...Then the light shifted slightly and the moment passed, leaving me...with the lasting echo of its presence.." Diana Gabaldon
Judging from it's proximity to the water, I think lunch might be a higher priority for this bird than the location of it's buddies. I never tire of watching the grace of birds in flight. I'm glad you took the time to get the shot.
