Another shot from the deep of Cairo's heart. When you are living in the woods you get sick of all these trees. A man live in a desert will envy you for all that green around you. I never saw Cairo from a different angle until I shot photos for everything. Once I look at each photo again I sense how hard the life is for kids, men and women. Egypt, January, 2005.

I don't see a smile on any of these faces even though some of them realize you are going to take their photo. Sad, so sad that so many people feel this way here.I guess that they must live day to day and hope the next day will be better. Thank you for sharing with us.

Look at the child's face in the red jacket.....stunningly beautiful! In our country could be in magazines...a child movie star, and yet.....reality...may never know more than extreme hardship.
