from a tree in the lakes and mountains district near salzburg austria. i didn't realize the bee was there until after i saw the picture on a computer screen.

This is a nice idea and I hope you have another go at it next Spring! I love the colors and the subject...it is very evocative of the season. The composition is is nice, classically catching the eye at the upper right and allowing a travel down and to the left. The problem is that the flower spike on the right is in focus while the one in the center is not. Also, the center is a bit overexposed...although I'm sure exposure is tricky in this area of shadow and bright light. The bee is a nice feature, but I might not have noticed it because of the glare/focus issue in that area.

I really like this photo! It's absolutely gorgeous. It took me a little bit to find the bee but I like it.
