This is Treasure Road, it's one of my favorite spots to go and enjoy nature. This road leads down to a creek, which is very beautiful. Sadly, the county is trying to shut this road down because of the cost of maintaining it. Every time the creek rises it washes part of the road out! I am keeping hope that it will not be shut down, because if it is, one of my favorite spots will no longer be accessible to me! :(

Nice country photo,i can imagine that the creek must be nice,i can understand that you like this spot and indeed it would be a pity if it would not be accessible to you anymore.

I like scenes like this very much Sara. It is a shame they are thinking about denying you and others access. I would like to see some photos of that stream you are talking about. I remember those rocky streams from days in the area.

Nice compostion, lots of interesting things to keep the eye busy here. Could use perhaps a bit more contrast, but it captures the bleakness of the day rather well.
The improvement in your gallery shows more forethought in taking your pictures, an effort at composition, and that effort pays off here.
I think we all have places like this, comfortable spots we return to again and again...I hope yours stays open. I agre with Tick...it would be interesting to see some shots of the stream...

The curve in the road and the dark trees make the composition for me. With such subdued tones I wold probably have gone for a B&W and upped the contrast. The subject for me lacks visual oomph in terms of colours or beauty so I would have tried to bring out the emotional side of the picture more. Does this make sense?
