This Virginia barn has stood in the corner of this field for many, many years. The setting sun and the very weathered old barn seemed to be perfect for each other, each with their own kind of beauty.
Took your image here, up to the largest resolution and there is very nice detail and clarity on the barn. Actually did so, as the colour on the one side had me intrigued to no end.
The light from the setting sun really set those colours ... quite literally to my eyes, on fire.
Very vibrant on the other colour notes as well.
Congratulations on your purchase.
I shall raise a glass of properly chilled milk (the only accompaniment to a good good cookie, you know) to many more photos from you gracing our site.
And but of course, thank you for sharing this lovely scene with us. :o)
Les, I do get your hint about the properly chilled milk, and I need to tell you that just a few minutes ago I had a plate of 3 fresh-from-the-oven peanut-butter cookies and 3 chocolate chip cookies (no raisens) right in front of my monitor. I clicked "message" under your name, held up the plate, clicked "Send", shut my eyes, and.... NO cookies were sent! I can do no more than report this error to the Caedes authorities. :(
:o)
Good composition Sharon.
