You may want to put this in full screen. I played with this picture in the Photoshop filters, finally deciding that a very light dry brush technique became a nice compromise between the blossoms looking like a dogwood and still looking "painterly". Then I added some other minor Photoshop tweaking once I knew what I wanted for the final look. I hope you like the result, because it was fun to do!

So beautiful Sharon! My kind of shot! The colors and clarity are just great and I like the effect you used~makes them appear 3D! Just lovely! :)Ami

So bright and springy. I like the tweaking you have done, the brushing technique especially. I'd like to learn more about this technique one day.

I love it! The blooms really pop in the sunlight. Lovely details and colors. I think the brush effects are a nice touch.

Nicely presented. Had it in the VB and circled back to comment. Good control on the DOF, and what a lovely sky as a backdrop. Well done.

I do believe that this is the best dogwood shot I have seen. Quite exceptional. Great technique used here.

This reminded me of a painting of a field of trees with gorgeous blossoms that one of the girls in A grade 10 Visual Arts class I helped out in did....
If only I could have shown her this photograph to get her to paint the details of the trees upclose.
Reminiscing aside, I think that this is a gorgeous photograph, I love the focus on it and the vivid colours, as well as the subject treatment; your use of closure on the tree is very nice.
