I shot this picture last Spring, when the weather had begun to warm up but before the river started to flood. I kept coming back to it, never entirely happy with the composition. I kept chopping the original (and moving the chop selection around). I think this rendition shows the energy and the beauty of this river.

This is a great shot. Had it in voting and gave you a good score. The water is so clear and the fresh grass is so green. Super capture.

I like it too, I'm just wondering if the camera was down lower if it would have made a difference.....I don't know, I get that with some of my shot too. I do really like all of the spring colors.

Now this is my kind of place ... I love being near water where there are plenty of rocks. Nice composition with the rocks leading the viewer in ... I like the roughness of the river in the foreground in contrast with the calmer areas giving the scene a bit of motion as well. A few washed out areas on the rocks where the direct sunlight was hitting, but not bad. Wonderful capture Sharon & your editing efforts paid off. Glad you decided to post this one. Saved.

I like it! First thing that caught my attention too, the calmer waters contrasting with the rougher running waters. Serene spring colors enhance the imagery. I can almost hear the water rushing by. Very nice colors, textures and elements.

I do like how the rocks lead your eyes to the back of the river.
Plus the different shapes and colours that can be seen from front to back of this photo. 10/10
