It seems as if these delicate branches could not possibly hold the weight of the snow on them...but they did, and still managed to execute a graceful line! When shooting this, I was absorbed with the way the light filtered through the trees lightly adding beauty and definition to the snow. Thanks for stopping to look and I hope you like this one!

Whipped Cream!!! It kinda reminds me of the first Willy Wonka movie, starring Gene Wilder, when he drives his visitors through that device that covers them with whipping cream. It's a beauty, Sharon, and although a lot of folks who don't experience a lot of snow might think this is a scene you'd see every day, we northerners know it isn't. All it takes is a brisk breeze and it all topples off the branches, the snow losing that delicate balance. So this is a fairly rare scene and you've gotten a beautiful capture of it. Thanks for sharing. Hope the ankle is improving daily.

Beautiful filtered light and composition Sharon! Isn't the snow just gorgeous when it coats everything in detail like this? Excellent post! :)Ami

You do wonder how those little branches hold all that weight up. It's a Winter Wonderland alright. Terrific image.

This is a very interesting image. It took me a second to see what it was... like an optical riddle. I like it.
