I shot this image this spring when I was looking around the George Washington Birthplace National Monument in Westmoreland County, Virginia. Apparently the National Monument organization will buy a property adjacent to the original site, if it is offered for sale and if it was once part of the Washington family holding. This appears to be one such property, and it was closed off to the public. I liked the colors as seen through the trees. Thanks for coming to take a look!

An unusual but very effective viewpoint for this shot, Sharon. I love the warm woody colours and the long diagonal shadows.
