I found this nearly life-sized garden statue in a junkyard in northern Virginia just a few miles from the Maryland line. I glimpsed it as I was driving (too fast) on this winding road and I just barely managed slow down enough to turn in...it was sundown and I was in a hurry to get my camera set up. I wanted to take her home with me (and clean her up for my garden), but I never even asked the price since she wouldn't fit in my car and I was a long way from home. This pic sat in "the bin" for a long time and then the Rustic contest came along. I decided that "Rustic" could be thought of as something old and once loved. I haven't been back up that way; I'm sure she's long gone by now. Now she's one of those Life Regrets, something that I didn't make happen. Thanks for coming to take a look!

Excellent shot and truly well done. There is little doubt that this defines rustic and the beauty it can behold.

The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB

What a great superb looking photo and this is a stunning looking subject. This would be a great for the rust contest.Love the sharp detail and the focus and colours are beautiful.I would go back and see if you could afford it,it would look great in the garden and it might be full of good luck.

I liked this photo when I first saw it. Very well shot. The sun hits it in all the right spots. Great camera work.
