In northern India is a small town and village cleared of jungle called Khajaraho. It was discovered by a british engineer in 1838 after being lost to the world. The Chandela temples were first built by their rulers in AD 900. The temples are famous for sculptures of the Kama Sutra. This brings tourists that would otherwise not visit the area. The villages are very poor. We gave sweets to the children and in return they agreed to pose. I hope you like the photo.

Though I'm not so much into people images, You have done an outstanding job of this. Well composed, good colors and just a good people image. Well done. =^..^= sandi ♪

I too am not too much into portraiture images. However this is a great shot. there are no shadows on any of the subjects faces and the colors seem to be right on. The lighting as also very soft which also makes me think that maybe this was taken in the evening or the morning? May have cropped it tighter in the left side but not too much for me to dislike this photo. I like what you've done here. Thanks for sharing.

There is something so lovely about the innocence portrayed in the face and eyes of children. You captured their feeling so well, the little boy in the background has such a sweet look on his face, one can't help but wonder what they are thinking and what kind of lives they live. How can anyone NOT love these children?! I love how you got a perfect sunlight on them too. I would liked to have seen the whole face of the child on the right and the ones that aren't showing. ppigeon has also got some beautiful childrens photos posted, you ought to take a look. Thank you for sharing part of another part of our earth. I'd love to see more of these. Verena

Very nicely done, I love the way the children are looking at the camera, you can almost see something in their eyes.

Thank you so much for your warm and thoughtful comments. I have one other photo of this group of children that I will upload... it was a case of just snapping away to get the shot, as the children really did not want to pose... they just wanted the sweets.
