Very creative work Mac ~ like the earth is floating on a cloud or an ocean wave. It does have a strong feeling of peacefulness. I really like the texture too. Excellent work + faves.

Nice work Mac.

Thought I would take a look in on your galleries since my last visit ... and this is the one, as they say ... that jumped out at me.

I would agree with those above, in that the textures are done well. The complimentary colour palette throughout your piece here is another strong element that ties it all together well.

If I may, I do have a couple of suggestions for you ... compositionally, in my humble opinion ... think that the earth is a little tight to the framing. Not sure how big the original was, and/or if you cropped it at all ... here's my thought ...

Keep the positioning of the earth, relative to the 'swirls' ... as is. Spot on with your placement there. Just expand the borders such that you could bring the earth in and down more so.

Some additional work on the blending of the earth ... and this goes from good to very good. And I am sure you can get there from here.

As Sherree mentioned, and as you say in the accompanying narrative to your image ... you succeeded in creating a feel and mood that is quite tranquil.

Yeah, nice work. :o)
