The flowers are very nice, but the picture itself feels a little too busy to me with them all wrapped up together. I do like the wood though as it provides a good neutral background and brings the colors out more. I think if you'd been able to get just a single flower the picture would be more powerful.

I slightly agree with .hamellr. I think the flowers are gorgeous and I actually like the background but have you thought of using an image editing program to make the background and possibly all but one of the flowers just slightly out of focus. It could really draw your eye to just the flower itself, you may also try it in black & white after doing the focal adjustment. Just a thought. Again beautiful flowers.
