I really like the contrast between the grasses and the tree but the overall image seemed a bit dark. I downloaded a copy of your shot into Photoshop and in levels I adjusted the white level to 185 and it made the photo look like the sun just came out. Also, enlarging the photo so that only some of the branches were on the screen I could see double lines running around most of them and that the original lines were beginning to break. I figure the photo was either taken with a 3 or 4 megapixel camera or perhaps you over-sharpened it a little in filters? Sometimes when I have a photo that's real busy with a lot of little lines that begin to break up when using the sharpening tool, I'll try applying a poster edge filter to it. Sometimes that can make small lines like branches crisp and clear. When I'm out on the country shooting photos, I sometimes bring along a light aluminum 4-step ladder. I find that when I come across a view like this, a few extra feet of elevation reveals a completely different view of the world. I might also forget the ladder for a few minutes and lay down in the grass instead, shooting through it so just the tree is in focus, the grasses just a soft reminder that you're seeing the image as though through the eyes of a smaller animal, and the green trees and horizon are no longer in the photo, and not distracting from the view. One last thing: if the camera you're using is low-rez, run, don't walk, to the nearest camera shop and get yourself at least an 8 mp SLR. You have a very good eye for photography--I just took a look at your gallery and you have some very nice images in there.
Well Done.
