Took this June 22nd, 2008, during a thundershower at the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden in Winnipeg, Manitoba. I have another excellent image under bright sunlight that I took just before the thundershower hit that I'll upload later for comparison. Canon20D, Canon 100-300 IS zoom, no external lighting. I really like the dark, glossy feel the rain gives the bronze. The reflection of light off the wet bronze and the water interests me. It also gives it a little more of a dark, forboding, lonely feeling with the overcast sky and muted lighting, but the bright colors of the flows in the background and in the water contrast nicely.

I saw this in the vb. High marks. The sculpture reminds me of the ones at my local Botanical Gardens.

I agree, the sheen created by the water on the bronze is seductive and the dominance of greens in the palette of the image has a definite mood to it.

Very well done.

It's not how many megapixels. But how you use the ones you have.

A splendid piece of sculpture. The wet bronze has a lovely glossy sheen that immediately catches ones eye. The rain splattered pond is pleasing to see - all the greens add more beauty to this scene. Very nicely done :^>

I need to catch up on things so can't comment too much. But I love all of your fine images :)

Hey Mate,
I posted my rework of this image here. Thanks for letting me mess with it.
