She got kind of angry at me...but, oh, well. Shot's a little noisy I think owing to the 300mm lens, or maybe me getting a little too excited and moving a bit. Either way, enjoy.
Why wouldn't you get excited. Great shot. They always look back and that is generally their undoing. I am getting jealous of you and Sherree and your great deer shots. I must be too old and clumsy to sneak up on them. Great shot Sly and I didn't notice any noise. Neither did the deer.

I normally get a little bit of noise in my shots while zooming in full at 300mm ... especially when the lighting is poor. I like the doe's pose as if she is getting in one last look. The snow & trees frame her nicely. Fantastic capture Sly.
Beautiful in every way. I like the curve created with her body and the opposing branches. That inquisitive wide eyed expression she's giving. She was looking back to see if you were looking back to see...
Doesn't look blurred to me. I wish I could see behind me like that! I would be excited just to see one of these guys. I like his pose and I think you did a fine job on the capture.
This is a great shot you know. We've PM'd on the lens issue and I hope you'll give yourself a bit more leeway. I can't see any noise in this - just a really nicely composed shot. Maybe not quite as sharp as it could be - that's down to the shutter speed being a bit slow, I'm sure - but I love the contrasting shapes, with the curves of the deer and lines of the trees.
Very nice! I'm jealous, I've never been able to take any of deer! Love the snow on her nose...just don't see her saying "punk" lol, just the rest of the comment :)
I love this shot. A shot in the wild is always harder to
capture than one at the zoo or a park. The cold weather
adds another dimension to the difficulty of the capture.
Great composition. Snow on the animal's head brings the
viewer into the day in the life of the deer. You are just
visiting but the deer is working to survive. I would have
rated this shot higher.
